Instead, he bounced around from college to college, avoiding responsibility for as long as humanly possible. Along the way, he majored in everything from Art to English Literature, eventually securing a degree in Radio/Television/Film from the University of North Texas (the college of choice for Don Henley, Thomas Hayden Church, Norah Jones, Larry McMurtry, and many others).

After college, he worked in the broadcast news field for several years. Unfortunately, he was shocked to learn that working for a television station pays only slightly more than being a vagrant, so he packed his bags and went looking for greener pastures.

And he finally found them on the Internet. Now, he waxes philosophic on movies, music, and much, much more. And he still finds time to work with cattle and ride horses.

His hobbies are about what you'd expect from someone who owns a movie review site...watching movies, reading (especially comic books), role-playing games, and any other pursuit which can firmly cement his staus as a complete geek. Yep, he even likes pro wrasslin'.

And when it comes to films, his tastes are all over the place. He loves horror movies (the bloodier the better), but he's been known to enjoy a chick flick from time to time (sadly, he's seen Steel Magnolias more than once). This means that you, the reader, will get reviews on a wide range of films, from the popular to the completely obscure.

With any luck, you'll enjoy reading them as much as the ol' Film Cynic enjoys writing them.
